It's been a hot minute since I've done another post on permanent-range MAC lipsticks, so here's part three of my nudes and neutrals.

The neutral/nude category is very subjective (you may consider some of these too rosy or brown for nudes and that's okay! I'm showing you what I would pair with any makeup look as a neutral lip colour). Each shade will of course look different on varying skintones - for reference, I wear NC15 in MAC foundations. I do have a lot of shades to show you (this is part three in these posts) so if nothing in this post looks suitable for you, be sure to check out the archive of permanent MAC products.

Creme D'Nude is described as 'pale muted peach beige' and has a Cremesheen finish. It's one of MAC's nudes that always mentally wrote off as being scarily pale and not something I'd ever wear - imagine my surprise when I actually tried it and loved it! The Cremesheen formula allows enough translucency for my natural lip colour to peek through and it glides on smoothly. It lasted five hours on me, which impressed me for a sheer, pale shade.
My tube comes from the Wash N Dry collection, in which it was repromoted.

Hue is described as 'soft pale pink' and has a Glaze finish. It's very similar to Creme D'Nude on me, a touch pinker but if you're not of the lipstick hoarding persuasion, they're close enough to not need both. Hue lasts a bit under four hours on me and isn't drying.

Peachstock is described as a 'creamy beige peach' and has a Satin finish. This is a colour I've never quite been able to get to grips with and consequently, I've bought it twice and destashed it each time. I really should just learn to leave it alone! I have no complaints on the formula, it applies smoothly with decent opacity and wears comfortably for five hours. I think it just pulls too yellow overall on me.
My tube comes from the Give Me Liberty of London collection, which it was repromoted in. At the time, it was a pro-only colour.

Cherish is described as 'soft muted peachy-beige' and has a Satin finish. No one ever seems to talk about Cherish and I can't figure out why. It's flattering and has a great formula! The Satin finish applies smoothly with opaque coverage and it lasts for four and a half hours on me.

Creme In Your Coffee is described as 'creamy mid-tone pink brown' and has a Cremesheen finish. It's mostly opaque and goes on smoothly with a lovely moisturising feel. It lasted a bit under seven hours on me and wasn't drying.

Twig is described as 'soft muted brownish-pink' and has a Satin finish. I love it, and my only regret is not buying it sooner. Twig is opaque and glides on beautifully, lasting for four hours on me. I did find it a bit clingy, though.

What I liked:
  • All shades had great (or buildable), even colour pay off
  • All of them had smooth, forgiving application and textures
  • Wear time ranged between four and seven hours
  • Most shades weren't drying
What I didn't like:
  • Twig was clingy
