I'm still completely infatuated with ColourPop's Ultra Satin Lips (and forever plotting my next fix) so here are three shades from the permanent range I've been wearing recently: Magic Wand, November and Cozy. I'd love to hear about your favourites so I can narrow down my wishlist!
Ultra Satins come boxed (with names on the boxes, perfect for my preferred storage!) and have clear packaging with silver caps and trim. They have a slim angled doefoot applicator that I find easy to work with for outlining lips and distributing the product evenly.
Formula Overview:All of ColourPop's liquid lipsticks are richly pigmented and have a slightly chemical scent although it's not strong or offensive. The Ultra Satin range is definitely my favourite of ColourPop's liquid lipstick formulas, they are forgiving than the Ultra Mattes yet boast similar levels of wear.
Magic Wand is described as a 'light nude'. It's a little darker than I expected from the website swatches and I'm not entirely sure whether I like it on me or not yet, but the formula is great! It's very pigmented and applies evenly, lasting a little over seven hours on me without being drying.
November is described as a 'warm peachy pink' which sums it up pretty perfectly. It's a very wearable shade that I can see myself using a lot. November lasted seven hours on me, beginning to feel clingy and uncomfortable toward the end of wear. I experienced a bit of product gathering along the inner part of my lips and there was a little fading over time, but the colour was still mostly intact by the end of wear. This shade is part of the ongoing Kathleen Lights collaboration.
Cozy is described as a 'true orange red'. This is without a doubt my favourite of the three, Cozy is SO vibrant! It's a super pigmented kicking ass and taking names kinda lipstick. It wore for nine and a half hours on me and was still mostly even by the time I called it a day, although there was a small amount of flaking/gathering along the inner part of my lips and some settling into dry lip lines.
What I liked:
- Great colour payoff
- They last for eight hours on me
- All of them had smooth, easy application
- Magic Wand and Cozy weren't drying
- None of them feathered
- November was clingy and uncomfortable by the end of wear and had some gathering
- Cozy settled into dry lip lines and had a small amount of gathering/flaking
