Some Quick Comparisons

Hey lovelies,

Some ultra quick comparisons for you today!

While destashing recently I wondered how two of my bronze cream shadows compared: MAC Indianwood and Maybelline Bad to the Bronze.

As you can see, Bad to the Bronze is much cooler in tone and leans browner over all. Indianwood is just bordering on too warm for me but I can't help it - I love that copper shimmer! Both have similar textures, with Indianwood being slightly creamier. Personally I find the slightly drier texture of Bad to the Bronze to work better with my oily lids.

The second comparison today is of a few of my deep pink lipsticks. In my review of a few of the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate lipsticks, I mentioned the shades in my collection I thought #106 was closest to, and Caroline Elle asked for a comparison.

I've destashed MAC Girl About Town since that post, but I do have the other shades mentioned for comparative purposes! Definitely no dupes here - my memory was a bit off, the brightness of Centrifuchsia definitely sets it apart from #106, which is deeper in tone. The matte texture also provides an overall deeper feel, although on my lips, Centrifuchsia does read a little darker than on my arm. Miki Fuchsia Fun is similarly neutral to #106, but glossy and several shades lighter. Thanks for requesting a comparison, Caroline Elle, it was an eye opener! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
