Wet n Wild Palette - Sparkle 'Til Morning Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

Another pretty unearthed from my drafts folder! It feels good to get these posts up at last :)

This is the Wet n Wild Sparkle 'Til Morning palette, a limited edition offering that wasn't available from online e-tailers of Wet n Wild. I was keeping an eye out for it on Ebay, but lots of sellers weren't shipping overseas :( Finally, Juliet in our polish group listed it in on Trade Me and I nabbed it right away!

It's just as good as I hoped it would be! Great pigmentation and a lovely selection of everyday colours. I love the pop of teal too. I may have gotten a little carried away taking pictures of this pretty...

Onto swatches!

I really have no complaints about this palette. If anything it's a little warm for me, but that's hardly the palette's fault! It was definitely worth the wait. Now if I can just get my hand on the spring palettes!

Here's a FOTD I did using this palette. You can find full details of the look here.

Jojo Stereo Feminine Blush - 02 Light Coral Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

I have a blush to share with you today from KKCentreHK, Jojo Stereo Feminine Blush in the shade 02 Light Coral. I received this a few months ago for review,  so let's see what the verdict was!

The blush is about the same size as a MAC blush, and comes in a glossy black compact with a faceted clear plastic lid, so it's easy to see what the colour inside is.

The compact opens in two parts - one part reveals the blush, while the other contains a mirror and brush. I haven't used the brush, so cannot comment on its quality - I prefer to use my Sephora blush brush, simply because it works really well for me.

The blush itself is a very pretty pink leaning coral with a satin finish. At first I thought it was matte, but you can see a really subtle shimmer if you look closely at the pan and my swatch. It does appear matte on my cheeks however.

Here's a FOTD I did a few months ago using this blush. You can find more details of this look here.

The wear time, blendability and pigmentation of this blush is absolutely fantastic. The only thing I didn't like about this blush is that it kicks up quite a lot of powder when you use it, which makes me feel some of the product is being wasted.

If you'd like to try this blush, you can find it at KKCenterHK here. This shade is currently sold out, but there are several other shades available, and you can always add it to your wishlist for later :)

Etude House All Over Color - Raspberry Mousse Cake Swatch & Review (Featuring Guest Swatcher Noel!)

Hey lovelies,

Here's a very pretty product which has been lurking in my drafts folder for far too long! It's Etude House All Over Color in Raspberry Mousse Cake, from their Sweet Recipe line.

The Sweet Recipe line was largely limited edition from my understanding, but the All Over Colors are still available from various sellers on Ebay and other e-tailers. I've now got quite a few of them - in fact I just need the orange one to complete my collection! Raspberry Mousse Cake is my favourite so far though.

The tin comes packaged in this cute little plastic case.

The product itself comes in a sturdy little tin which is shaped like a cupcake.

Product information :)

The product photos online make it look you're going to get something with a mousse consistency, but this more like a cream blush. I was a little disappointed at first, but I feel like a mousse product could actually be pretty tricky to apply to lips!

Noel 'helping' to swatch ;)

You can see some lovely streaks of pink on his cheeks here!

And an arm swatch by me :) Raspberry Mousse Cake appears dewy when first applied, but dries down to a soft satin texture.

Here it is on lips - a subtle flush of sheer colour, great for low-effort everyday make up. I love wearing this on lips and cheeks with a little BB cream and mascara when I don't want a full face of make up but still want to feel polished.

Finally, here's a FOTD with me wearing Raspberry Mousse Cake as blush. You can find a few more here.

So, how does it wear? Pretty well! It's not a super long lasting product, but does last a few hours on lips before needing to be touched up. It won't last through food but I do appreciate that it wears away pretty evenly for the most part - no ring of colour! Sometimes it can migrate to the inner mouth a little, the way a few balms do.

As a blush, it wears best when set with a powder - even a little highlighter on top will do. It's wonderfully blendable on cheeks, and can be built up or kept subtle.

Keep an eye out for upcoming reviews of Strawberry Mousse Cake, Blueberry Cheesecake and Peach Sugar Cake :)

Star Kin - Inconceivable! Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

I have a super blingy custom polish to share with you today! Without further ado, it's Inconceivable! by Star Kin.

Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Growth - Forbidden Fudge, 3 coats
+
Star Kin - Inconceivable! 1 coat

Inconceivable! Started life as a custom for Serra over at Peacock Pie; hers is called SEGG (Serra's Emergency Gold Glitter) and you can read all about it here. Serra brought it along to a recent Wellington polish group catch up and I fell super in love - and Serra was kind enough to let me ask Ami for a similar custom. Ami and I decided to name my version something different, so I decided on Inconceivable! because I've been on a Princess Bride kick lately.

It has an awesome mix of glitter - stars, hexes, squares and more, in a mixture of metallic and holographic finishes. The density is just perfect - dense enough for a nice even coat as a topper, as I wore it above, or built up for MOAR GLITTA.

You can buy Star Kin polish here, and follow the Star Kin blog for updates here.

Hey lovelies,

Yikes, I'm behind again! Wellington's weather is so inconsistent lately. We'll have a day of sun, so I'll spend the day swatching and attempting to destash (gotta make room for all of the Korean goodies I've been hauling lately!), I get on a roll with that and then of course the next day is raining with gale force winds. *Shakes head*. Ah well. Here's what I have managed to swatch :)

OPI - Designer... De-Better! 3 coats

Maybelline Color Show Sequins - Silver Gleam, 1 coat

Words cannot express how much I love this silver glitter. I'm honestly surprised by how much! It dries a little like a texture polish, which I'm not usually a fan of but really like here. And it has fantastic opacity. And SO MUCH SPARKLE. I may have bought the gold and teal Color Show Sequins after obtaining this and realising my love for it.
