MUA Pretty Pastels Palette - Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

Today I have swatches and a review of MUA's Pretty Pastels palette to share with you. It was the palette I was most excited for when placing my last big order with MUA, but unfortunately it just wasn't love for me. The colours aren't hugely pigmented and they have a tendency to muddy together when blended.

The packaging is sleek plastic, nothing too fancy, but it houses the eyeshadows securely. The palette comes with a double tipped sponge applicator, which I don't use but others may find useful.

Swatched on bare arm, no primer

Shade 1 - Barely shows up at all. Off-white with pink flash - it looked so promising in the pan, like MAC's Pink Opal pigment!
Shade 2 - Baby pink shimmer.
Shade 3 - Medium brown shimmer. I thought this shade would work well as a defining shade to add some dimension to a pastel eye look, but these shades blend together and look muddy.
Shade 4 - Silvery green shimmer.
Shade 5 - Ice blue shimmer.
Shade 6 - Lavender shimmer.
Shade 7 - Pale chartreuse shimmer
Shade 8 - Sherbet orange shimmer.
Shade 9 - Pale aqua shimmer. Shows up more silvery-white when applied.
Shade 10 - Lilac shimmer. Looks closer to Shade 6 in the pan, but as you can see, it swatches much paler.
Shade 11 - Candy pink shimmer.
Shade 12 - Silver shimmer.

The MUA Pretty Pastels palette retails for £4 and is available on their website here. They do ship internationally.
