Square Stud Guest Post From Polish Armoire

Hey lovelies,

I'm busy moving house at the moment, so today let us welcome Grace of Polish Armoire, who kindly agreed to guest post for me.

Hi all! I’m Grace from the nail blog Polish Armoire and I was happy to offer to write up a guest post for Lani who I met via the NZ Polish Addicts Facebook group.

This was the first time I used studs and I had a bit of help from the NZ Polish Addicts group with the colour scheme for this mani. On my ring and pinky finger I’ve used 3 coats of Hungry Asian Twenty Eleven which is a dark purple jelly polish with various sized red hex glitter. On my index and middle finger I have used 2 coats of China Glaze Ruby Pumps which is a vibrant glowing red jelly with red micro-glitter that can be opaque in one careful coat. The studs are 3mm square studs from Cult Nails though you can also buy similar studs from eBay at a cheaper price. I found that the studs closest to the sides of my nails were raised up slightly due to the curve of my nail so it really depends on individual nail size and curve as to where it’s best to place studs.

On the thumb I used 3 coats of the light blue jelly polish NYX Pistachio and added one coat of Glitzology Baby Dragon on top. I thought it appropriate since I acquired Baby Dragon from one of Lani’s polish destashes! Baby Dragon contains various sized fuchsia, purple and forest green glitter as you can see in the macro above. Unfortunately my camera seemed to see the reflection of the green square glitter as blue but I can assure you that Baby Dragon does not contain blue glitter.

I’d like to end by thanking Lani for giving me this opportunity to guest post on her blog. If you liked what you saw you can follow me on the Polish Armoire Facebook page or any of the other social media links located on my website www.polisharmoire.com
