Covergirl Intense Shadowblast - Beige Blaze Swatch & Review

Hey lovelies,

This is a tale of unexpected awesomeness. I received this in a bulk lot on Trade Me and wasn't expecting much. I raised my eyebrows at the packaging's claim of being a primer and an eyeshadow at the same time, but resolved to try it once before destashing it.

I tried it out... and fell in love. I have chronic trouble with eyeshadow creasing. Using the Shadowblast as a base helps my eyeshadow pop and it lasts and lasts. It makes a great inner corner highlight too!

The eyeshadow comes in a lipgloss style tube, with a sponge applicator. I think a brush style applicator would have been a good idea here, as I find the sponge a little clumsy, but I can make do.

The shadow itself is a pretty shimmery beige with a hint of gold. It has a smooth creamy consistency and is mostly opaque. I like to apply a thin coat all over my lid and let it set for a few seconds before using a finger to even out the colour and blend out the edges.

Here's a simple look I did using Beige Blaze as a base and inner corner highlight. If you search 'Beige Blaze' on the blog, you'll find a heap more looks with this eyeshadow because it's rapidly become a staple in my make up bags!

Thanks for stopping by!
