Last Week's Mail + Haul

10:01

Hey lovelies,

I'm super late with the week before last week's mail (29th April - 5th May) and haul round up, darn sunlight always running out so quickly! We lose sunlight at our property at our house by midday at the moment, and then we had lots of rain, darn Winter. Ah well - let's do this!

On the Sunday Annemarie and I caught up for a little bit and she brought me lots of pretty polishes as a part of our ongoing polish swap (I'm so behind!). Left to right, we have:

Nubar Star Sparkle, Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor, Pahlish Bony Fingers, OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know?, China Glaze Cha Cha Cha, BYS Colour Change Purple, OPI Love Is A Racket, Darling Diva Polish Twilight Sparkle and Essie Beach Party.

What are those purple smears on Nubar Star Sparkle, you ask?

Well.

Meet Color Club Disco Dress. It arrived with the other pretties Annemarie brought along and spent a week happily waiting for a chance to be photographed. Then on the day I was catching up on blog photos, Disco Dress was just minding its own business, being all pretty and stuff. Then Noel saw it and THREW IT ON THE GROUND. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GROUND. Sob.

On the plus side, the ground is prettier now.

On Tuesday my TonyMoly Cat Chu lipstick in Red Cat arrived. Isn't it cute?! You can find a review here.

Thursday was pay day, so I picked up Miki Colour Intense Aqua liquid eyeliner, Runaway Red lipstick and some Ardell #139 lashes for my birthday party next week. I tested them out that night hence why they are out of their packaging - which I now can't find for the life of me!

I also met Serra from our NZ Polish Facebook group to do a frenzied polish sale before work. She sold me China Glazed Tarnished & Varnished and Shocking Pink.

Friday was an epic mail day!

I got a bulk lot off Trade Me. I bought it for the Maybelline and Too Faced eyeshadows and blush/bronzer duo, but I tried the Fudge Instant Smoothie spray the other day and loved the smell of it. My hair did look smoother and glossier after using it too.
Also included was Inglot Double Sparkle #493 eyeshadow (seems to be prior to the Freedom System), Savvy by DB Smoky eyeshadow palette, Clinique Two To Tango eyeshadow duo, Rimmel SpecialEyes Smokey Quartz eyeshadow, Maybelline brown gel liner, Covergirl Intense Shadowblast #800 Beige Blaze, Lush 9-5 Orchid Oil Cleansing Lotion (which smells like death and nappies to me, so I'm turfing it asap!), Rock N Rose by Valentino perfumed body lotion, L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Anti Frizz serum and L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Perfector & Corrector. The Maybelline Eyestudio quad is Irresistably Ivy, the Too Faced blush/bronzer duo contains Who's Your Poppy? and Sun Bunny and the Too Faced eyeshadow quad contains Teddy Bear, Blonde Ambition, Totally Toasted and Satin Sheets. Phew! What a haul.
I'll be getting rid of some of this stuff because it has been used (gel liner, yuck), the colours don't suit me (Savvy palette), the pigmentation is poor (Rimmel), or I just won't use it (like the L'Oreal tan corrector and Lush 9-5 cleansing lotion).

Lots of pretty polish arrived from Michaela at Nail Polish Anon, who had posted a destash list in our NZ Polish group on Facebook. Left to right, we have: Milani 3D, China Glaze Luminous Lavender, Color Club Diamond Drops, Two Birds One Store Vampire Candy, Mode Nail-Holic, Sation Lemon Pearl and LA Girl Rockstar - Punk.

Revlon Strawberry Cream polish and Fire and Ice lipstick arrived from NZ Sale, along with a gift for Mike's mum for Mother's Day ;)

I also got two dresses from Dailyfashion on Trademe. The black one came with a shiny black belt, but I swapped it out for a yellow one when I wore it to work last week. I love both dresses, but especially the mustard one! The colour is so flattering.

Finally, I got a long overdue replacement bottle of Seche Vite. I got mine from axemummy on Trade Me.

What have you hauled lately?

  1. Holy haul, batman! What a great week of things arriving!

FYI, I found it easier and cheaper overall to get the BIG bottles of Seche Vite off ebay at get them shipped here. If you know you're going to keep using it as your topcoat, it's worth it.
