MUA Pearl Eyeshadows - Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

Today I have a review of the three MUA Pearl eyeshadows I picked up recently. Let's get started, shall we?

The eyeshadows come in large 36mm eyeshadow pans. For reference, MAC eyeshadows are 26mm, so you're getting a lot of product for the £1 you pay.

#11 is a brown/taupe shade with gold shimmer. I didn't expect to like this as much as I do; in the swatch it looks a bit gritty, but on the lid it's so gorgeous. You can pack it on for more intensity, and it blends out to a warmer brown, so it can look quite nuanced on the lid - I've been enjoying throwing on this, liquid eyeliner and mascara for a quick and easy soft smokey eye for day time.
There's a FOTD featuring this shade here.

#28 is a warm red based copper with lots of shimmer. This shimmer does lend itself to minimal fallout, but nothing too annoying. The pigmentation is pretty good, it wasn't sheer, but it wasn't stunningly opaque either - instead it's that happy medium which gives you a lot of flexibility to build or sheer out as you like.
You can find a FOTD with this eyeshadow here.

#29 is a cool toned khaki green shimmer. This shade is grittier and sheerer than #28, and I experienced a lot of fall out while wearing it. It would probably benefit from a sticky eyeshadow base. The colour is lovely, though dupable.  I've now given this away to my lovely workmate Jeanie, who looks so gorgeous in it - I'm glad she's made it work for her!

I'd definitely recommend these eyeshadows, whether you're just starting out with eye make up or want to add to your collection - the price is fantastic, and they have several shades to choose from.
