A Vampy Summer

Hey lovelies,

After posting swatches of the Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks, I was dying to try out the last untried one, Cherry Bomb. Unfortunately, it wasn't really a summer colour - I'm not usually a seasonal colour kind of girl, but a vampy lip is one thing that seems to be a winter decadence for me.

Come Monday, the weather was horrible. Wind and rain - not very summer like at all, Wellington! Luckily for me, it was the perfect excuse to do a vampy lip. And here we are!

MAC Studio Sculpt NC15
MAC Select Cover-Up NW15
MAC Oh So Fair Beauty Powder
MAC Lightscapade MSF

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette (taupe on lid, medium brown in the crease and lower lashline, shimmery highlight)

NYX Cabaret lip liner

D'oh - forgot to do my brows! Fringe hides them most of the time at the moment though. Which reminds me, I need a cut and colour ASAP. Looking through old photos made me want to go red again really bad!

I'm pleased to report I didn't have any trouble with Cherry Bomb bleeding or feathering. It wore really well, and I actually got lots of compliments, which was lovely. I paired this look with a black and white peplum top and a burgundy lace pencil skirt which complimented the lips. I also wore NYX Girls Woman as a mani, but didn't get any photos that were in focus - what a fail!

Do you wear seasonally appropriate colours?
